Central Repository and Database
As a
part of the unified management, all components and tools share a common element database.
Once an element is created, it is available everywhere in the Management Center, and updating
the element will update all configurations that use it.
Component re-use results in less manual administrative work and fewer human errors.
Central Repository stores all information about the configuration, including security policies, clustering, routing, multi-link and operating system settings. It is possible to take a single backup of the whole system. In case of a hardware failure on one of the security engines, all you need to do is replace the hardware and contact it to management and push the configuration to the engine.
